Living 20 minutes outside of town means not having very much company at the house. For a person who loves to be surrounded by other people and who loves to entertain that’s a tough reality. Well, this play date really helped satisfy that desire to have people in my home. I didn’t even have to cook. Not that I mind cooking, but dadgumit I hate the mess. Cooking would be so much more fun if I had staff. Wouldn’t that be a hoot in 1500 sq. ft. home? Full time kitchen staff! While I’m oddly cared for let’s just add a nanny. I always made fun of women who were stay at home moms and had a nanny or two. Well, those days are over. If I had the money I’d have a house full of them ’round the clock.
Back to the hosting of the playgroup. Normally, I would really stress about having that many people come to my house for the first time. I would be wondering where to hide the clutter, how to speed clean and what to make that would really one-up all the past hosts.
This stress didn’t occur for a couple reasons. First, it’s been a while since I’ve entertained, so I’ve aged and with age I’ve mellowed out a lot. Second, I’ve found a secret. No, this is not a sponsored post. Nobody has paid me to say this: There is a website that tells you what to clean each day and how to do it. Just click the link below.
